Echo: Secrets of the Lost Cavern Hints
How do I paint the bull?
of 14: Arok won't be able to paint the bull until he casts an appropriate shadow on the wall.
of 14: Arok can only make seven mistakes. The number of mistakes remaining is recorded with "palettes" in the top right corner of the screen. If he fails to complete the painting before he runs out of palettes, the puzzle will begin over again.
of 14: The first step is to outline several key features of the bull.
of 14: The correct color choice is important.
of 14: The outlining should be done in black...
of 14: ... using the brush, for a finer line.
of 14: There are six separate areas on the bull shadow that make up the outline, and that will need to be painted.
of 14: They include: each of the two horns, the two front legs, the back of the head (which includes the ears and some of the back of the bull), plus the face.
of 14: Once the outline is complete, several sections of the bull need to be filled in. But the brush is not the best tool to use for fill-in work.
of 14: Remember what Arok used to finish the stag fresco?
of 14: Try the blowpipe.
of 14: Use the blowpipe on 5 different locations on the bull...
of 14: ... the front left leg, the stomach, under the chin (includes some face and the right front leg), the spot between the front legs, and the chest area over the left front leg. When finished correctly, the painting will animate, and turn into two bulls.
