Echo: Secrets of the Lost Cavern Hints

How do I relate Klem's stone to the path through the cave maze?

  • 1 of 9: Remembering that the 3x3 grid on the ground is rotated 180 degrees from the angle that we can see it, the first arrow on the 3x3 grid would indicate to start in the bottom left corner, and the start indicates the end in the top right corner.
  • 2 of 9: Referring to Klem's stone, the color in the bottom left corner is brown, and the color in the top right corner is red.
  • 3 of 9: Imagine that the colors on Klem's stone are on the 3x3 grid.  By using the arrows from the 3x3 grid, you can create an ordered list of arrows through the various colors.
  • 4 of 9: The list of colors would then indicate which cave you should pass through, in which order, by using the matching colors painted outside each cave entrance.
  • 5 of 9: Now back to the 3x3 grid.  The starting arrow begins outside the 3x3 grid ends in the bottom left corner of the grid.  This corner, on Klem's stone, is colored with brown.  Therefore, the first cave you will need to pass through will be the one marked with brown.
  • 6 of 9: Looking at the next arrow on the 3x3, it indicates an upward movement (into a space marked with black on Klem's stone).  Therefore, black would be the color of the next cave you will need to travel through.
  • 7 of 9: The next arrow on the 3x3 grid points diagonally down and to the right (into a blank space on Klem's stone).  This indicates that the third cave you will need to move into is the one with the blank square (the outline of a square) by the opening.
  • 8 of 9: Continue on, in this way, relating the arrows from the 3x3 grid into movement through the colors on Klem's stone, until you have a complete list of 9 colors to indicate the order of caves to move through.
  • 9 of 9: The complete list of colors, from start to finish, is as follows:
Brown, Black, Clear, Brown, Black, Brown, Black, Brown, Red
