Echo: Secrets of the Lost Cavern Hints
I've tried, and still can't make it through; what's the step-by-step solution?
1 of 10: Begin at the fire pit in the starting cave. After collecting all three torches, light one of the torches from the fire pit. Notice that the caves are marked as follows (from left to right): Black, Clear, Brown, Red. This order will remain consistent throughout all the caves.
2 of 10: From here, you will need to enter the Brown cave (this is the cave that matches the first color from the list of colors derived from Klem's stone and the 3x3 grid). It will take at least three moves to pass through, from the fire to the next cave. First, you will need to take one step deeper into the cave (from the fire), then step through the brown opening (which takes you into a tunnel between the starting cave and the brown cave), and then take one more step through the tunnel to exit into the next cave. Note: It will be necessary to take two moves each time you are passing from one cave through to the next. Be careful to walk straight through these connecting tunnels -- if you accidentally get turned around inside a tunnel, you could end up getting lost in the maze of caves.
3 of 10: The next cave's "color" is Black. Pan to the right, until you see the opening with the Black square next to it. Take two steps -- the first one toward the cave, the second one through the tunnel to the next cave.
4 of 10: The next cave's "color" is Clear. Look to the left for the opening with the Clear square (i.e., an open box with no color inside, just an outline) next to it. Take two steps -- toward and then through, that opening.
5 of 10: The next cave's "color" is Brown. Look to the left for the opening with the Brown square, but only take one step toward it. Your torch is about to go out. Now would be a good time to light a second torch from the first one. Open the inventory, select a torch, then click on the burning torch at the bottom left of the screen. Once the second torch is burning, take one more step to exit the tunnel between the caves and step through into the next cave.
6 of 10: The next cave's "color" is Black. Look just to the right to find the opening with the Black square, and take two steps toward, and through, it.
7 of 10: The next cave's "color" is Brown. The opening with the Brown square should be pretty much straight ahead. Take two steps toward, and through, the Brown opening.
8 of 10: The next cave's "color" is Black. Turn slightly to the right to find the opening marked with a Black square, and take two steps toward, and through, it.
9 of 10: The next cave's "color" is Brown. The opening with the Brown square should be pretty much straight ahead. Take one step, then pause to light a new torch. Take one more step to continue through to the next cave.
10 of 10: The final cave's "color" is Red. Turn to the left to find the opening marked with a Red square, and go through it to exit the cave maze.
