How do I build a fire?

  • 1 of 9: The cave contains all the supplies you need.
  • 2 of 9: There are four fire-building items, which can be found on the ground.
  • 3 of 9: Once you've collected the four items, you will need to find a good place to build a fire.
  • 4 of 9: A ring of stones on the ground marks a good fire pit location.
  • 5 of 9: Two of the items will be burned in the fire; two will be used to start the fire.
  • 6 of 9: Place the dry grass and the firewood inside the ring of stones.  Note: To use an item, right click to open the inventory screen, then left click to select the item you would like to use.  The item will appear in the top left corner of the screen.  The item can then be used on any location on the screen where the cursor changes into two rocks clicking together (the action icon).
  • 7 of 9: The softwood and the hardwood will be used to start the fire.
  • 8 of 9: Place the softwood on the edge of the fire pit.
  • 9 of 9: Use the hardwood to start the fire by rubbing it on the softwood.
