Echo: Secrets of the Lost Cavern Hints

Where can I get a waterskin?

  • 1 of 21: You won't find a ready-made waterskin anywhere.  Arok will need to create a waterskin from objects he can gather from around the cave areas.
  • 2 of 21: You should be familiar with the old routine, by now.  Look for a "combining rock" where Arok can put things together.
  • 3 of 21: A combining rock can be found at the back of the room next to Tika's.
  • 4 of 21: First of all, Arok will need a waterproof container, of sorts, to hold the water.
  • 5 of 21: Where can I find a waterproof bladder?
  • 6 of 21: He will also need a suitable protective outer layer for the waterskin.
  • 7 of 21: Where do you think the term "waterskin" comes from?
  • 8 of 21: An animal skin should work.
  • 9 of 21: You will also need some way to keep the top of the waterskin open while pouring.
  • 10 of 21: Look for something small and round, with a hole through it.
  • 11 of 21: Luckily there is a vertebra nearby that can help.
  • 12 of 21: Next, you need to find a way to keep all the pieces together.
  • 13 of 21: How about using a strap?
  • 14 of 21: Start assembling the waterskin (on the combining rock) from the outside layer and working toward the inside.
  • 15 of 21: Place the skin on the combining rock first...
  • 16 of 21: ...then the bladder...
  • 17 of 21: ...then the vertebra.
  • 18 of 21: Finally, the strap can be used -- to hold all the pieces together.
  • 19 of 21: Notice the needle near the top right of the combining rock?
  • 20 of 21: Combine the strap and needle to make a sewing implement.  Use the combined strap and needle on the skin and bladder to get a waterskin.
  • 21 of 21: Be sure to fill the waterskin.  You can use the water from the trough again (from the central cave next to Tika's).
