Echo: Secrets of the Lost Cavern Hints
Using the inventory
The inventory in "Echo" will be used extensively. The inventory can be called up by clicking the right mouse button. You can scroll through the inventory by clicking on the arrows by the scroll bar.
Items that you can pick up will go directly into the inventory. To use an object immediately, you will need to first pick it up (typically by clicking on it) -- which puts it into inventory -- and then bring up the inventory and select the desired object.
At times, you will need to combine two items in inventory, to obtain a third item. However, items cannot be combined within the inventory itself, nor in your hand, as you are holding an item. Throughout the game, you will find "combining areas" -- typically large, flat stones -- where inventory items can be "set down". And in these spots, when appropriate, you will be able to set down more than one item in the same spot, and -- when appropriate -- they will combine into another item.
