Ecstatica Hints
Basic Fighting
The best way to fight is strike, duck, strike, duck (on the keypad, that's 7, 5, 7, 5). Press 9 every once in a while to throw off the enemy. This usually work well. Remember: 7 strikes with the left hand, 9 with the right, and 5 dodges.
When you have a weapon, 7 will bash the enemy, and 9 will make your guy take a half-circle swing. The swing is best against more than one bad guy (like the skeletons) and the bash can be useful against only one (although the swing I like better).
If you do get beat up, wait a few seconds. If you see the death scene (your body on the wall, with monsters talking about you) restore. Sometimes, they'll hang you up on the rack, or in a house, or, with those Piglet things, take you to their lair. In these cases, simply bash keys on the keypad until you come loose, then (if you were abducted by the Piglets) kill them.
