The Egyptian Prophecy: The Fate of Ramses Hints
Saving the Game
While it is possible for Maya to die at several points in the game (typically as a result of failing a test, or moving into a life-threatening situation, or not completing a puzzle within a timed sequence), the game graciously restarts at a point just prior to whatever caused her death, allowing you to replay the situation. This greatly reduces the requirement for repetitive game saves to avoid losing your progress in the game. However, there are still times when it is desirable to save the current situation, along with Maya's inventory, and whatever progress she has made so far.
You can save multiple games (an unlimited number) from the main menu. To get to the main menu, bring up the Inventory window (by right-clicking anywhere), and click on the round "X" button, in the middle of the Inventory window.
When you select the Save button, the current game will be saved, along with a thumbnail of the current location, and a date/time stamp. To restore a saved game, use the Load option on the main menu, and scroll to the desired game save. (Use the associated thumbnail, and date/time stamp, to assist in finding the desired game save.)
Game saves are "by Player". That is, when you begin each game, you will select which Player you are playing. Each Player has their own set of game saves, their own environment, their own progress indications, etc. When you save a game, it will be saved in the context of the current Player.
