The Egyptian Prophecy: The Fate of Ramses Hints
Movement and Action
Movement in "The Egyptian Prophecy" is through a fairly simple point-and-click interface. As you move your mouse, the on-screen cursor will follow. When it nears the edge (or top, or bottom) of the current window, the scene will rotate, panning in the direction indicated by the cursor. Movement within a single location is done through this 360-degree panning.
As the cursor moves over spots that allow various actions, the cursor icon will change. When the small circle in the center flashes white, that indicates a direction in which Maya can move. Clicking the mouse at that point will generate a scene transition, and Maya will move ahead in the direction indicated.
There are also other cursor icons that indicate other forms of action besides just movement. When the cursor becomes a "moving gears" icon, that indicates some sort of action that can be performed at that spot. Clicking the mouse when the gears are showing may (or may not) produce a result. Not all "action spots" are operative all the time. If nothing happens when clicking on such a spot, it may be that Maya does not have the correct object(s) to use at that spot, at this point in the game. It could also indicate that some other action must be done first, before this "action spot" can be used.
When an object is required, to use on an "action spot", you can select the object from Maya's inventory by right-clicking anywhere. When the inventory comes up, select the desired item, and then return to the "action spot", and click on it (with the item "in hand" -- which is indicated by having the item displayed in the upper left corner of the screen).
A "moving hand" icon generally indicates that there is an object that can be picked up. Clicking on that icon will typically add something to Maya's inventory. Be sure to check out what it is, each time this happens. Also, there are times when the "moving hand" icon may appear, but no object is there. This normally happens when an object *was* there, but has already been picked up.
