How can I help the basket weaver?

  • 1 of 9: He would like you to retrieve his gouge from the middle of the lake.
  • 2 of 9: You can't reach the gouge yourself; it's too far out.
  • 3 of 9: A fishing pole would be useful, but you don't have one.
  • 4 of 9: If you could just somehow find a way to "cast a line" out there and hook the lily pad, you could pull the gouge to shore.
  • 5 of 9: First, you'll need some string, or rope of some kind.
  • 6 of 9: Now if you only had some way to put a hook of some kind on it...
  • 7 of 9: As soon as Maya is holding both items, she automatically combines them into a grappling hook.
  • 8 of 9: Cast the rope out to the lily pad with the gouge on it.
  • 9 of 9: After watching the brief cut-scene, take the gouge from the lily pad and return it to the basket weaver.  In return, he gives you some fragrant rush (which Khaemouaset needs), and some water lily seeds.
