The Egyptian Prophecy: The Fate of Ramses Hints

How do I pass the first test of Isis?

  • 1 of 12: The first test is located on the altar, across the water from where you started.
  • 2 of 12: This is a pretty standard puzzle, which you may have seen in various forms before.  You must move three objects from one location to another, but never leave one of them alone with either of the other two.  You can only carry one object at any time.
  • 3 of 12: Determine first which stone represents the "unsafe" god or goddess -- the one that can never be left alone with either of the other two.
  • 4 of 12: The one to watch out for is Nut.  She cannot be left alone with either of the other two.
  • 5 of 12: So you'll need to start with Nut, and move her to the altar on the next island (turn to the left, when standing at the first altar).
  • 6 of 12: Now you can come back and take either of the other two.  It doesn't matter which one you take, but for the sake of this example, let's assume you take Geb.
  • 7 of 12: Move to where you left Nut.  But you cannot leave Geb alone with Nut.
  • 8 of 12: Place Geb there, but then take Nut back again.
  • 9 of 12: Can you figure out now how to finish off the puzzle, while always keeping Nut away from the other two?
  • 10 of 12: When you go back, leave Nut where she started, and pick up Shu.
  • 11 of 12: It is safe to move Shu over by Geb (leaving Nut alone).
  • 12 of 12: Now you can return to where you started, pick up Nut, and take her to join the other two.  When the puzzle is complete, a bridge will appear to provide you safe passage to the next island.
