The Egyptian Prophecy: The Fate of Ramses Hints

How do I make a frame for the sistrum?

  • 1 of 13: This is going to require some metalwork.  Since you don't have any modern tools, some primitive metalworking will have to do.
  • 2 of 13: What we could really use is an anvil, and a good hot fire.
  • 3 of 13: Have you seen anything down here that resembles an anvil?
  • 4 of 13: When you first entered Ptah's world, there was a large rock that looks like it should serve the purpose.
  • 5 of 13: Return to the section of the large cave where you first entered.  The head of the canopic jar should be facing forward.
  • 6 of 13: Fire would be useful, but something very hot would do.
  • 7 of 13: Use the lava as a source of heat.
  • 8 of 13: Start making a frame for the sistrum by first shaping the bronze strip.
  • 9 of 13: Heat the bronze strip by finding a "hot spot" (quite literally!) in the nearby lava, and placing the bronze strip there.
  • 10 of 13: Place the heated bronze strip on the anvil-shaped rock.
  • 11 of 13: Use the mallet on the bronze strip.
  • 12 of 13: You won't be able to pick up the bronze strip until you've finished creating the frame.  What else would the frame need?
  • 13 of 13: Combine the handle with the (now bent) bronze strip.  Voila!  The frame for a sistrum!
