The Egyptian Prophecy: The Fate of Ramses Hints

How do I get a suitable reproduction of the design?

  • 1 of 7: The most obvious thing is that you'll need something to write with, and something to write on.
  • 2 of 7: Let's start with something to write on -- as the basket weaver said a blank papyrus should do.
  • 3 of 7: Now let's find something to write with.  A piece of chalk, charcoal, or similar material would work well.
  • 4 of 7: Remember that charcoal is created when wood doesn't burn completely.
  • 5 of 7: How about using the end of a burnt stick in place of charcoal?
  • 6 of 7: Now, given that you have "pencil and paper", how would you go about making a drawing?  It would be easier to trace the bas relief than to copy it out freehand.
  • 7 of 7: Place the papyrus on the drawing on the nilometer, and then use the burnt stick on the papyrus.
