Egypt 1156 B.C. Tomb of the Pharaoh Hints
How can I win the Senet game?
1 of 5: Games appear to be random. It is not difficult, but it may take you several tries to win. Save your game before you take the parchment from the secret drawer.
2 of 5: The manual explains the rules of the game and the moves. Read it carefully! After you have played a few times you will understand more what is involved.
3 of 5: The tiles are numbered from 1 through 30 beginning with the top left and ending at the bottom right. Your opponent's pieces are round and are placed on the board alternating with yours. To begin, click on the marked sticks sitting below the board. Pass the cursor over the sticks to see how many times you can move. Click on a piece to move it.
4 of 5: A good strategy is to block your opponent by landing on tile 26 and staying there. All forward play is blocked if tile 26 is occupied. While sitting on tile 26, that piece can be removed from the board if all four sticks thrown show identical markings. Avoid landing on one of the last 4 tiles when you have thrown a 4 or 5.
5 of 5: You will get better the more you play. Eventually you will win.
