Agatha Christie: Evil Under the Sun Hints
How do I find the missing letters?
of 10: Look at that big scary cat sitting on the mail sorting desk. I bet she had something to do with it.
of 10: And in fact, if you try to look closely at the back of the desk, you'll see that there is something going on back there --
of 10: -- but that's all you can do while the cat is there. You're going to have to find a way to shift the cat before you can really look behind the desk.
of 10: Have you been to the Monk's Hood pub here in the village yet?
of 10: That huge ugly dog could be useful here, if you could get him to follow you. But you really can't do anything more in this time period; try again tomorrow.
of 10: -- talk to Major Barry to get him to agree to manage the dog for you. The next time you go to Leathercombe, he'll be there with the dog waiting for you.
of 10: But Barry isn't quite as good as he boasted; you still need something to get the dog moving. This is pretty bizarre, so I'll just tell you.
of 10: Go to the Monk's Hood Pub and pick up an old corned beef sandwich off of the table at the back of the room by the dartboard. Go back to the dog, but instead of trying to give it to him (he won't take it), walk into the chemist's shop with it, and Poirot will drop it. Things happen pretty much automatically for a bit.
of 10: Once cat and dog are both specks on the horizon, you can move the desk aside, pick up the missing letters, and be Mrs. Hughes's hero from now on.
