How do I find the treasure?

  • 1 of 8: When you've been in the Smuggler's End looking at the dartboards (one upstairs, one in the cellar), Hastings has been making comments about them. He's almost got it all noodled out, but not quite; first he needs another hint from a local.
  • 2 of 8: Go to the pub in Leathercombe and talk to Mr. Bagley, the proprietor, if you haven't already; he makes a comment about Cutter and the treasure. Now go back to the Smuggler's End and look at that upstairs dartboard again.
  • 3 of 8: Hastings should now make a statement about the meaning of the N, E, N on the dartboard. Great! All you need now is a shovel --
  • 4 of 8: -- which you can find on the island, on the path to the summit.
  • 5 of 8: If you now walk up the hill to the summit, Poirot will start to dig --
  • 6 of 8: -- and end up with zip, beyond a red face and dirty hands. Now what?
  • 7 of 8: Go back to the Leathercombe pub and talk to Mr. Bagley again and he'll refine his description of the treasure's place.
  • 8 of 8: Go back to the island and walk down the path to the Bathing Beach, and Poirot will try again.
