Agatha Christie: Evil Under the Sun Hints
How do I fix the car in the garage?
of 9: At some point, when you go to the garage, Will will ask you to help him out by cleaning the points of Major Barry's car, a 1938 Triumph Dolomite. (Which is a little odd, since the only time Triumph made a car called the Dolomite was made in the 1960s and 1970s. Time warp, maybe?)
of 9: You can find a magazine in the hotel's sitting room that will help you out here. In fact, you absolutely HAVE to have it or you can't even start on the car.
of 9: Okay, this shouldn't be too hard. Start by picking up the tools you need from Will's workbench: a screwdriver, a file, and a wrench (what the game calls a spanner). Look close at the spanner in inventory to get a magnetic fragment that you'll need later.
of 9: Now zoom in on the car at the left, and let's get started. Here's the process:
of 9: 1. Open the distributor cap -- that's the big cap in the center -- to look closely at the ignition system.
of 9: 2. Use the spanner on the nut at the lower right to release one of the points. It's now in your inventory labeled "dull point."
of 9: 3. Use the screwdriver on the screw at the upper left to release the second dull point.
of 9: 4. In inventory, use the file on the two dull points one a time.
of 9: 5. Put the two shiny points back in their original places.
