Agatha Christie: Evil Under the Sun Hints

What is there to learn from the crime scene?

  • 1 of 11: There are eight clues to be found in three separate areas in Cutter's Cove and three people to talk to.
  • 2 of 11: The people are obvious: Colonel Weston, Patrick Redfern, and Emily.
  • 3 of 11: The first area to search is clearly the body. Hastings won't let Poirot turn over the body (probably because he wanted to help this game keep its Teen rating), but when you try he'll tell you something useful about the cause of death.
  • 4 of 11: Look for hotspots around the body. That thing that looks like a thermos is a coffee flask; take it.
  • 5 of 11: There's also a dark spill in the sand; it might be significant, so click on it.
  • 6 of 11: Finally, the ribbon on the hat looks like it was torn. Use the scissors that you took from the maid's cart yesterday to cut off a piece of ribbon.
  • 7 of 11: Now walk up the beach to the broken ladder. (Aren't you glad you didn't try to climb down here before?) There's a bit of a broken pipe in the sand; I've never found any use for it, but take it if you like.
  • 8 of 11: From the broken ladder, go off to the right toward the cave. Before you get there, look at the rocks to find a piece of torn cloth that you can take.
  • 9 of 11: In the cave, look on the ground to find what appears to be a shattered perfume bottle; take it.
  • 10 of 11: Also inside the cave, look at the mud on the wall. Very odd! Use the "spatula" (the little putty knife thingy you got from the chemist's shop) to clear away the mud.
  • 11 of 11: When you think you're done, talk to Emily to be rowed back to the bathing beach. If you didn't get everything, don't panic; you can come back here any time you want by going to the Bathing Beach and asking Emily for a lift.
