What should I pick up from the office?
1 of 6: You need a couple of things, including a way to take notes, a place to store your inventory, a way to find out the time it takes to get from place to place, and some background information.
2 of 6: First off, there's a small spiral-bound notebook on the left side of Poirot's desk. The perfect thing for the wannabe detective -- grab it.
3 of 6: Turn right twice to see a briefcase against the door. That'll do nicely to store your goodies in.
4 of 6: Turn right once more and pick up the stopwatch; it's a tiny golden disk on the dresser to the left of the mirror. You can also look at the mirror if you like, but as far as I can tell it serves no useful purpose -- Hastings isn't *that* cute, after all.
5 of 6: Turn right again and zoom in on the box of files on the shelf. Take the four files with names on them. (If none of the files have names, you don't yet have the notebook from Poirot's desk. Pick it up and come back here.) To read the files, click on the notebook icon at the top of the screen and select Documents.
6 of 6: Finally, pick up the photograph of Poirot and Hastings on the wall to the right of the shelf with the files. This will turn into a picture of Poirot at the top of the screen; click on it to start the story proper.
