How do I interpret the Finger of Suspicion clues?
1 of 8: I don't know that it's possible to solve this puzzle without help, since there's at least one action taken by Poirot every time you use the Finger that we never get to see. Here are the answers you need:
2 of 8: Power -- The thing is powered by electricity.
3 of 8: Lamp -- It's powered by the same circuit as the lamp.
4 of 8: Desk -- The wires from the lamp to the Finger of Suspicion are in the desk.
5 of 8: Drawer -- You close the drawer every time you operate the Finger of Suspicion. (Which we poor ignorant players never see.)
6 of 8: Magnet -- The Finger is controlled by a magnet you hold.
7 of 8: Telephone -- The telephone is disconnected. (Which Hastings will tell you if you click on the telephone some time before this.)
