Underground Passage Hints

  • All the chambers are basically identical, although some contain a lighted torch, or a spider's web, or suchlike.

    Each chamber has a possible four openings:  Right, left, down (i.e. near the bottom of the screen), and up (i.e. near the top of the screen; or more accurately near the middle).

    Generally, one or often more of these four openings is boarded up or blocked off, giving you fewer choices (and hence decisions) of maneuvering.

    A few chambers have an additional 'hole' at the rear side (near the middle) of the screen.  You can get Quickthorpe to jump through these if you wish; but this is not generally essential.

    Since each journey is only a half dozen steps or less, instructions need only be given from the entrance to the destination.  To return, simply reverse the order.  Then start the next journey (if required) again, always from the entrance only.
