Meet Ismael

  • 1 of 12: Enter the underground passage.
  • 2 of 12: Find your way to the Old Man -- you may have met him before!
  • 3 of 12: You'll have to traverse a few chambers of the maze.
  • 4 of 12: He may be sleeping.  If so, pull the right bird-head lever, the machinery starts clanking and he wakes up.
  • 5 of 12: If you choose the correct dialog path, you'll hear the last installment of the conspiracy story.
  • 6 of 12: You'll also hear how Quickthorpe was completely *set-up* from the outset by the village priest in cahoots with Ismael.
  • 7 of 12: Their plan was to trick him so that he would kill all the demons, acquire the Mecubarz Key with the four inset jewels, and hand them over to Ismael.
  • 8 of 12: All this so that the two could jointly rule the whole world --- after killing Quickthorpe of course!
  • 9 of 12: Ismael tries bribing Quickthorpe by offering to cut him in, if he hands over the Key.
  • 10 of 12: If you give him what he wants, or even choose some of the wrong dialog paths, the roof crashes in and Quickthorpe is buried beneath the rocks with "RIP" over his grave.
  • 11 of 12: This is not really a bona fide ending since there is no "The End" notice, or Credits, or whatever.  It is identical to all the other 'deaths' you have suffered throughout the game.
  • 12 of 12: So reload your last Save and search for a 'proper' ending.
