Fable: The Lost Chapters Hints
Hidden Booty Hunt
of 14: You get this quest the first time you find a clue to the hidden treasure.
of 14: Once you have all the clues, start reading through them in order to figure out where the hidden treasure is.
of 14: The first two clues tell you (vaguely) what region the treasure is in.
of 14: Where did you fight legions of "scrumping" hobbes?
of 14: It can't be the Hobbe Cave because of clue #2, which says "where fruit lies in the wood."
of 14: Remember that hobbe-killing contest that you and Whisper went on (if you did that particular silver quest)?
of 14: That's right! The hidden treasure is buried somewhere in the Orchard Farm area. Head over there and start reading the next few clues.
of 14: Clues 3 thru 5 are pretty much just a bunch of badly worded nonsense, but take a good close look at clue #6.
of 14: It says to dig between wood and bale. Where are there some bales around here?
of 14: Go to the barn and look around it. There are several bale stacks lying around.
of 14: The barn itself could count as wood, so start digging in areas that are between the barn and a bale stack.
of 14: In front of the barn next to a light post are some bales that have just enough room between them and the barn for you to squeeze in between them. Dig there.
of 14: Viola! The ancient and mystical frying pan! Pretty dumb, huh?
of 14: NOTE: You can dig up the frying pan at pretty much any point in the game as long as you know where it's buried, but you shouldn't since it'll be totally weak and worthless. It'll only have its damage value of 100 and its eight augmentation slots if you dig it up while in possession of all six clues.
