Fable: The Lost Chapters Hints
Greatwood Caves
1 of 5: This door wants your combat multiplier to be fairly high before it'll open.
2 of 5: Speak to it when your current multiplier is 14 or more.
3 of 5: This can be fairly easy to do if your character is powerful enough that an earth troll will appear when you walk around near the demon door. Cast Physical Shield and pull back on the bow and hold it for awhile, moving left and right to dodge the troll's projectiles as best you can. Then switch to 1st person mode and shoot the troll. Your combat multiplier should jump straight to 10 or 11. Repeat the process to get it to 15 or so, then quickly talk to the demon door.
4 of 5: If that doesn't work for you, then this whole thing can be hard to do, since you lose a huge chunk of your multiplier just for going from one area to another. However, try going all the way to the Moonlit Tunnel in the Hobbe Cave and then fighting your way back outside as quickly as you can with Physical Shield on, not stopping to pick up XP orbs or treasure or anything. (The Slow Time spell may help with this.) You should emerge with a combat multiplier of about 10, so quickly attack the earth troll or hobbes or whatever appears outside and then rush to the demon door.
5 of 5: If you can ever manage it, you can get an artifact weapon called The Cutlass Bluetane from the chest inside the Butterfly House.
