Fable: The Lost Chapters Hints
How can I be acknowledged as the fastest apprentice in the guild?
1 of 9: Beat the current fastest apprentice's time.
2 of 9: Find the apprentice who's bragging about his speed in the SW section of the outdoors (near the graves of the great heroes).
3 of 9: When you talk to him, he'll challenge you to run to the local demon door and back in less than 50 seconds, which is the current record.
4 of 9: TIP: Before you talk to this guy, make a practice run or two to the demon door and back to make sure you know the shortest route.
5 of 9: As soon as you accept the challenge and regain control, turn and run (by holding down the Run button as you move) quickly to the demon door.
6 of 9: Don't bother talking to it -- just turn around as soon as you're next to it and start running back.
7 of 9: If you run all the way, take the shortest route, and don't get snagged anywhere, you should make it with a second or two to spare. If not, you can try again without having to restore a save.
8 of 9: TIP: One way to "jump" most of the way back after visiting the demon door is to find the nearest guild guy and attack him. Use the Lock-On key and then quickly punch him until you're taken to Maze's room for discipline. This takes no time off your timer, so as soon as Maze stops talking to you, turn and run down the stairs and go out the door on the left to find that you're right near the guy you need to talk to in order to win!
9 of 9: After you report in and win, talk to the guy again and choose to declare yourself the fastest apprentice in the guild.
