Fable: The Lost Chapters Hints

Mayor's Invitation

  • 1 of 8: Go talk to Lady Grey, the mayor of Bowerstone, near her house in Bowerstone North to start on this quest (which is something you'll only be able to do after finishing the Gold Quest where you become Arena champion).
  • 2 of 8: She hints that she'd like to get married, and asks you to bring her a suitable present.
  • 3 of 8: Next, she insists you buy a house somewhere to show that she's not marrying into poverty.
  • 4 of 8: If you already own a house anywhere, just talk to her again. If not, go buy the house at the west end of Bowerstone South and then return to her.
  • 5 of 8: Now she wants you to find some lost necklace of hers.
  • 6 of 8: When you return with the necklace, she'll say that Thunder (Whisper's *big* brother) is also courting her, and he's also an Arena champion. She insists that you fight him for her.
  • 7 of 8: Return to Lady Grey and agree to marry her. You'll get a 15,000 gold dowry, plus you can now enter Bowerstone Manor and visit Lady Grey's bedroom to find a silver key on the bed (interact with it to get the key) and a silver chest with a legendary weapon in it! (Also, you can now open the Grey House demon door.)
  • 8 of 8: NOTE: If you want to get your new wife into bed with you, you'll have to hang around in the bedroom and wait for her to come in, which she'll do at some point early at night. Give her some expensive gifts and do some manly poses and arm pumping, and you're in!
