Fallout: New Vegas Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints
Release the unusual specimen into the testing area.
1 of 3: Return to the room in the X-8 Research Center with the test terminal in it, then look down the hall to the left of the terminal for a door that you can now unlock.
2 of 3: Open the door and kill the nightstalkers in the room beyond, then go up the stairs to find a terminal on a table. (The schematics to the K9000 FIDO upgrade are also on the table.)
3 of 3: Use the terminal and choose to release the unusual specimen.
