Fallout: New Vegas Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints
How can I make it past the second collar hazard?
1 of 5: While standing in the tiny safe area between collar hazard zones, turn and face the enclosed structure you just came through. Get out a gun and shoot the speaker that's on the wall just above it. (Note that this allows you to go back the way you came and loot the areas you had to run through before.)
2 of 5: Move to the corner just past the walkway gap you jumped over, then look up and north. You should be able to see a speaker on the wall above a doorway. Shoot it out, then put your gun away and quicksave.
3 of 5: This next run is either going to include a hard couple of jumps, or it's going to be an extremely close call, depending on how you do it. Start off by running along to the spot where the walkway splits into two branches.
4 of 5: If you take the first branch, you'll have less distance to go before you reach the doorway that's under the last speaker you shot out, but you'll have to make two tricky jumps in a row. If you take the second branch, you won't have to make any jumps, but you'll be going around the long way, and will have to really run to make it to the doorway before your collar explodes.
5 of 5: NOTE: Using the terminal that's near the end of the longer route is supposed to shut off not only the alarms, but also the speakers. However, it didn't always do that when I played, so don't count on it. Once you make it to the safe doorway and quicksave, go back and use the terminal to see if it works then (since you may need to come back this way later on).
