Fallout: New Vegas Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints
How can I get those force fields lowered?
1 of 7: Looking around the enclosed structure they're in, you'll see no controls or switches that you can use.
2 of 7: The only possibility is the terminal that's on the wall back in the maintenance tunnel.
3 of 7: NOTE: Now is your last chance to go back the way you came and return to the casino before the big confrontation with Father Elijah. Do that if you need healing and want to use a bed instead of stimpaks, or if you want to store the items you've found so far in the vault somewhere in the casino.
4 of 7: Use the terminal and choose "vault security protocols information" and then "back."
5 of 7: That'll bring up a new option called "disengage vault security protocols."
6 of 7: Choose it, then choose "yes." That disables the elevator to the Executive Suites, but it's the only way to get those force fields down.
7 of 7: The good news is that *all* of the force fields in the central chamber are down, and all of the speakers are turned off. You can explore and loot at will, and even return to the starting area with the (now-useless) elevator.
