How can I do business with the hologram vendor?
1 of 3: Talk to him and view his store inventory to find that both he and you have zero caps. Caps don't exist at all in Sierra Madre, so you can't buy and sell things with them.
2 of 3: However, you can still trade things with vendors. If there's something he has that you want, select it, then select items from your inventory that add up to an equal or greater caps value. You can then do the trade.
3 of 3: If you're trying to get rid of things, note that the vendor has a whole lot of pre-war money that you can get from him in trade for whatever you give him. Pre-war money is weightless, so you can carry any amount of it around with you and use it for future trades (or trade it for Sierra Madre chips once you reach the casino, or sell it for caps after returning to the Mojave Wasteland).
