Is there a way to cut down on the number of enemies before they attack?
1 of 8: Yes, but only if certain of your skills are high enough.
2 of 8: The turret in the area where you fought the second hostile sentry bot (and the turrets in the next area) can be made to work for you if you can repair their terminal.
3 of 8: Two of the sentry bots that come after you can be deactivated by using the base commander's terminal, which is on the desk you got the mainframe codes from.
4 of 8: If you can't hack the computer, go back down to the operations room (the one with the first hostile sentry bot) and pick the hard lock on a desk to get the terminal's password.
5 of 8: Use the terminal and choose its "Deactivate Personal Sentry Systems" option.
6 of 8: That'll only deactivate the sentry bots that are in the nearby side rooms. The ones in the room past the computer room's locked door will still come after you.
7 of 8: You might want to set some mines next to the locked door so the bots will hit them on their way in.
8 of 8: Note that you can get a couple of plasma mines from the shelves in one of the sentry side rooms in the base commander's office. Use the terminal on the desk to open the personal sentry doors.
