Fallout: New Vegas Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints

The Tunnelers

  • 1 of 8: Enter the building and go to the back of it to find the badly-lit entrance to the Cave of the Abaddon.
  • 2 of 8: There are several tunnelers near the cave entrance, so try to sneak-shoot them with a silent weapon or lead them into the building one or two at a time.
  • 3 of 8: Get on the small hill that's just north of the cave entrance and see if you can snipe or lure in any tunnelers from the area ahead.
  • 4 of 8: Go down the sloping path and through one large cave room to reach another one. It has a bunch of tunnelers in it, so approach its entrance slowly.
  • 5 of 8: Set a couple of mines or satchel charges if you have time, then back way up and wait for tunnelers to come to you. Hopefully, they'll only come one or two at a time, and you can quickly dispose of them with a saw weapon or SMMG. (If they keep swarming and killing you, try using a stealth boy and a silenced weapon.)
  • 6 of 8: After they're all dead, go to the SW corner of their cave to find an auto-doc you can use to heal yourself, plus a door to the Buried Buildings area.
  • 7 of 8: Past the door, go up the stairs and through a couple of rooms to reach a door that leads outside to the Divide.
  • 8 of 8: As soon as you go through it, Ulysses will take control of ED-E and force him to leave you, so do any last-minute workbench or reloading bench stuff you want to with him before using the door.
