How can I escape with all of the gold?
1 of 11: You'll have to start preparing before you talk to Father Elijah on the terminal. Thankfully, the game made an autosave that you can restore to get back to that point.
2 of 11: Pick up all the gold bars, then walk over to the vault door and drop them all from the misc. section of your inventory. They'll all stack into one "multi-bar" on the floor. You'll want it to be as close to the door as possible. (Note that you can't move the multi-bar in Grab mode. If it doesn't fall in a spot very close to the door, pick it up and drop it again while standing in a different spot or facing a different way.)
3 of 11: Check the gun cabinet to the right of the gold bar table to see if it has any stealth boys in it. You'll need one to pull this off.
4 of 11: Go talk to Elijah on the terminal, and be sure to pass some skill checks so that you get this objective added to your journal. Otherwise, it won't work.
5 of 11: Quicksave as soon as the conversation is over, then run over to the vault door and open it. Grab the gold bars from the floor, then start slowly moving forward.
6 of 11: After you're past the vault door, head over to the dynamo that's on the right past the curvy glass dome. When you're next to it, crouch down and use a stealth boy, then move toward the stairs that lead up to a force-field-blocked doorway.
7 of 11: Don't try to reach the stairs, but instead stop a short way back from them. The walkway intersection that's near them is a good spot. Drop the gold bars, then quickly back up until you pass a toolbox on your left, then go back a bit more.
8 of 11: If Father Elijah says something about stealing from him, you either didn't use the stealth boy soon enough, or you got too close to the stairs. You'll have to quickrestore and try again.
9 of 11: If things go right, Father Elijah will come down the stairs and walk toward you. Wait until he passes the dynamo, then quicksave again.
10 of 11: Right after he turns toward the vault door and pauses briefly, start crouch-running toward your gold bars. Grab them as soon as you reach them, then stand up and move toward the stairs. You'll hopefully make it through the doorway past the stairs before Elijah turns the force fields back on. If not, quickrestore and try again.
11 of 11: Once you make it through the doorway, it'll be easy to get to the elevator before your collar explodes, even though you can't move very fast.
