Let Jed know you're ready to leave once you're traveling alone and ....

  • 1 of 5: Ask Jed about the caravan and New Canaan if you want, then tell him you're ready to go.
  • 2 of 5: The good news is that this add-on doesn't take away all of your inventory items when you start it. The bad news is that you can only take up to 75 pounds of stuff with you.
  • 3 of 5: Note that you can dump excess equipment into the nearby shipping crate, then get it back after you return to the Mojave Wasteland.
  • 4 of 5: Also note that you can't take followers along, so you'll have to dismiss any who are currently with you.
  • 5 of 5: When you're ready, tell Jed in order to get the module's introductory cut-scene followed by the "Arrival at Zion" quest.
