Fallout: New Vegas Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints
Leave the cave and set off the charges with the mining detonator.
1 of 2: Retrace your route back to the cave entrance, then go back outside.
2 of 2: The mining detonator is automatically equipped for convenience, so go into fight mode and hit the button to blow the charges and seal the cave. (Note that you can go back in, but you won't be able to go very far.)
