How can I validate the Steam cache files?
1 of 3: Go to Steam's game library and right-click on the "Fallout: New Vegas" entry.
2 of 3: Click on "Properties" in the menu that comes up, select the "Local Files" tab, then click on the large "Verify Integrity of Game Cache..." button.
3 of 3: One file should fail to validate, and will have to be re-downloaded. After that's done, everything should work fine.
