Fallout: New Vegas Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints
Recruit Dog.
1 of 5: Talk to God (Dog's more rational persona) about everything, then decide whether you'd rather have God or Dog as a follower.
2 of 5: The main difference is in which perk you get for having him with you. If you choose God, you'll get a perk that adds 10 to your Sneak skill and lets you run over traps without detonating them. If you choose Dog, you won't actually get a perk, but Dog's ravenous hunger will sometimes cause him to run up to a downed ghost and devour it, which keeps it from getting back up.
3 of 5: Since you can easily finish off ghosts by slashing them with a knife when they're down, God is probably the best choice. However, it is possible to switch back and forth between the two later on, so it doesn't really matter which one you choose now.
4 of 5: When you're able to tell God about having Father Elijah's voice recorded on your Pip-Boy, choose to use it if you want to start off with the Dog persona, or choose not to use it if you'd rather start off with the God persona.
5 of 5: WARNING: There'll be two new ghosts hanging around outside the police station when you leave, plus another one on the way back to the fountain.
