Fallout: New Vegas Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints
Basic Infiltration Test: Acquire the X-13 Document from the ....
of 10: The testing area starts past the testing room's turret-guarded double doors.
of 10: You don't have to wear the Stealth Suit Mk II for the test, but you should due to its +15 boost to your Sneak skill. (Unless your Sneak skill is already at or near 100, in which case wearing the stealth suit is a bad idea. Who was the genius who thought of making a stealth suit out of medium armor, anyway?)
of 10: In the testing area, you can ignore the turrets, but you'll need to avoid being seen by any of the robobrains. You could use a stealth boy (if you have one) to make it much easier, but you should be able to get through without one.
of 10: In the large starting room, look for two locked doors. They're shortcuts that you can take if your Lockpick skill is high enough to pick them open. The best shortcut is behind the door that requires a Lockpick of 50+ to open.
of 10: If a robobrain detects you, you'll get a message saying so, and you'll need to return to the test terminal and start the test again.
of 10: If you find it too hard to sneak your way through the test, you can go through the testing area and destroy all of the robobrains so that they'll be unable to detect you the next time you attempt the test.
of 10: The catch is that attacking any of the robobrains will turn all of them and the turrets hostile to you. You'll probably want to go around and sneak-attack all of the turrets before attacking the robobrains. (A successful one-hit kill on a turret while your stealth indicator reads "[HIDDEN]" won't turn the others hostile.)
of 10: After all of the robobrains and turrets are destroyed, go start the test, then make your way to the administrator's office.
of 10: Look on the right wall for a safe. Loot it to get the document that finishes the test and this quest.
of 10: NOTE: You'll have to fight some of Dr. Mobius' robo-scorpions on the way out of the building, plus several more outside. When you get outside, quickly run around to the back of the building. The scorps probably won't follow you back there, and may even start fighting nightstalkers if there are any nearby. (You could also do the "violating the perimeter" routine to get transported back to the Sink's balcony.)
