Fallout: New Vegas Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints
Post-Quest Notes
of 8: If you talked your brain into rejoining you earlier, you'll get the Big Brained perk right after the ending cinematic is over. Otherwise, you'll keep the Brainless perk.
of 8: If you later decide you'd rather have the Big Brained perk, you can talk to your brain in the central tank that's in one of the Sink's eastern rooms about it.
of 8: You'll also get the "Big Mountain Transportalponder!" weapon added to your inventory. It can be used to teleport yourself back and forth between the Mojave Wasteland and the Big Empty.
of 8: If you use it in the Big Empty, it'll transport you to the Mojave Drive-in. If you use it in the Mojave Wasteland, it'll transport you to the Sink Balcony.
of 8: You can only use the transportalponder outdoors when there are no hostiles nearby, so don't plan on using it to escape combats or to quickly leave a large interior area. Also, you can't use it while any followers are with you.
of 8: Note that you can use the transportalponder when overloaded, so moving all of your stashed stuff from the Big Empty back to the Mojave Wasteland is quick and easy. Just pick it all up, slowly walk over to an exit door (if you're not already outside), then use the transportalponder.
of 8: Drop a bunch of stuff in the garbage can that's near where you appear so you can fast-travel, then go get a couple of followers to help you haul it all to wherever you want to store it long-term.
of 8: Or since the Sink area is so easy to teleport to and from, and has so many handy gadgets, you may prefer to make it your new main base. If everything in it is fully upgraded, it'll be arguably superior to any other home base in the game. (Some disadvantages include not being able to send followers there, and the CIU never getting any new merchant inventory.)
