Fallout: New Vegas Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints
How can I get rid of the door's hologram guard?
1 of 5: If you go up to the bar area and jump over the west railing onto the beams, you'll find an emitter. However, if you disable it (Repair 50+ required), you'll find that it's the patrolling hologram's emitter. Go ahead and disable it if you can to get that pest out of your way. (Note that shooting out the emitter would turn all the other holograms hostile, so don't do that.)
2 of 5: As it turns out, the door-guarding hologram's emitter is on the floor near it. If your Repair skill is 50+, you can probably run over there and disable the emitter before the hologram can start zapping you. (Quicksave before you try.)
3 of 5: If your Repair skill is too low, you could shoot out the emitter and then run for the electrical closet. All the security holograms will go away when you restore power.
4 of 5: Another alternative is to use the same terminal that unlocks the electrical closet door to reassign the hologram to patrol the cashier's counter.
5 of 5: If you've already used the Security Management Control Terminal to unlock the closet door, get back to it the same way you did before (or a different way, for a bit of variety) and use it to set the hologram to patrol the cashier's counter.
