Fallout: New Vegas Hints

EXAMPLE: Permanently changing the max character level.

  • 1 of 7: Run the G.E.C.K. program and load the FalloutNV.esm file into it.
  • 2 of 7: Bring up the Gameplay menu and click on "Settings..."
  • 3 of 7: Scroll down to the iMaxCharacterLevel setting, then click on it to select it.
  • 4 of 7: Click on the box over to the right that's labeled "Numeric value," then change the 30 to whatever number you want.
  • 5 of 7: Click the "OK" button, then go to the File menu and choose "Save."
  • 6 of 7: Type in the name for your new ESP file and click on "Save" to get it saved on the hard drive.
  • 7 of 7: The next time you run the game, use the "Data Files" option on the launcher menu to enable your new ESP file. That way, the max character level will always be what you set it to.
