Fallout: New Vegas Hints
The Humble Cudgel
1 of 11: This unique lead pipe has the following advantages over regular lead pipes: 18.2% more damage, 18.2% more critical damage, 50% more health, 12.5% fewer action points required. It also has the following disadvantage: 40% less reach.
2 of 11: It's hidden deep within the sewers under New Vegas. Before you can get to it, you'll need to get a special "Luke's Find" key from one of two dead bodies.
3 of 11: "Blind" Luke's body can be found in the Central Sewers area, in a small side room near the NE end of the area. "Sweet" Jill's body is in the East Central Sewers area, in a side room near the east end.
4 of 11: Since the door that the key opens is in the Central Sewers area, it makes more sense to go directly there and get "Blind" Luke's key.
5 of 11: Use the manhole that's near Camp McCarran's entrance (location 37 on the Zone 1 Map), then go past the NCR's little fortification area and through a door.
6 of 11: Turn right and go north to an area with a couple of rats, then go north to the next path intersection. Turn left at it and open the door on your right to find "Blind" Luke.
7 of 11: Get his "Luke's Find" key, then retrace your steps back to the NCR's fortification area. Go west from its exit this time, ready to fight several fiends.
8 of 11: Turn left (south) at their little tire barricade, then shoot down a few last fiends in the room with the stairs.
9 of 11: Go up the stairs and over to the door to the Sealed Sewers area, which you can now open. Crouch down before you do that, then sneak up the steps that are just ahead.
10 of 11: There are several ghouls in the room that's ahead and to the left, and they're likely to detect you and come after you if you're not good at sneaking. They include a "glowing one" and a reaver, so I hope you brought some mines, some heavy firepower, and/or some followers to help you take them down. If not, go get some of that before the ghouls see you.
11 of 11: After they're all dead, loot the prospector in the room they came out of to get the Humble Cudgel.
