Fallout: New Vegas Hints

Talk to Ted Gunderson, who's being held in a room beneath the Gourmand.

  • 1 of 6: Mortimer gave you a key to the kitchen, so go to the Gourmand area and look along the NE wall for the locked kitchen door.
  • 2 of 6: Past it, go along the hallway and through the room where two White Glove guys are flame-broiling brahmin meat, then use the stairs or elevator to reach the main kitchen corridor.
  • 3 of 6: When a White Glove guard asks what you're doing there, tell him that Mortimer sent you to release the kid.
  • 4 of 6: Go down the corridor until you reach the last closed door on the right, then open it to find a kitchen area.
  • 5 of 6: Enter the north side room and open the freezer door (again with a key that Mortimer provided). Inside is Ted Gunderson, so talk to him.
  • 6 of 6: If you can pass a Speech 38 check, you'll get the "Return Ted to his father at the Ultra-Luxe's Top Shelf bar" objective. Otherwise, attack and kill Ted to get the "Collect samples off of Ted's corpse for use in framing his father" objective.
