Lockpicking Tips
of 4: If you have at least one bobby pin and a high enough Lockpick skill, you can attempt to pick a lock rather than looking for a key (which usually doesn't exist) or a hackable terminal that will unlock it (which is only available for a few doors and safes).
of 4: If you're wanting to pick a lock that's too tough for you, look through your inventory for any apparel and aid items that will boost your Perception attribute and/or your Lockpick skill. You should save up such items whenever you find them so you can use them to help with tough locks. (Note that Lockpick-boosting magazines are the best items for this.)
of 4: You should quicksave right before attempting to pick a lock so that you can quickrestore and try again if you break too many bobby pins.
of 4: Or you can repeatedly try to force the lock, quickrestoring when it breaks, until you get it open.
