Go find Hardin (use the quest arrow to help) and tell him what you've found regarding the Chain That Binds -- but only if you're sure you want him to take over later on. There are no advantages to that, and there are a couple of small disadvantages (like less Brotherhood of Steel fame points and no option to ally the Brotherhood with the NCR).
