1 of 3: Go to the caravan office where McLafferty works and look next to her desk for a locked safe.
2 of 3: If your Lockpick skill is 50+, you can sneakily pick the safe's lock. Otherwise, pickpocket the safe's key from McLafferty.
3 of 3: Steal the "Crimson Caravan - Van Graff Agreement" item from the safe when no one can see you. Soon after you get it, Cass will talk to you about it.
