Fallout: New Vegas Hints
Investigate the Silver Rush in Freeside for evidence on the Van Graffs' guilt.
1 of 4: Go enter the Silver Rush building in Freeside, surrendering your weapons to the door guard when asked to.
2 of 4: To get to the Van Graffs' safe, you'll need to open the locked door that's in the west corner of the main area.
3 of 4: The best way to do that is to go back outside and pickpocket the thug that's next to the entrance to get a key. You can then go back in and open the door without anyone turning hostile.
4 of 4: It's easy to crouch down near the safe that's in the room past the door and lockpick it unseen, provided your Lockpick skill is 75+. (The Van Graff key won't open the safe, unfortunately.) Or if your Science skill is 75+, hack the terminal on the nearby table and use it to unlock the safe.
