Fallout: New Vegas Hints
How can I time my run through the houses?
of 8: Move on down the road past George until you come to some painted-over signs on the left, then quicksave.
of 8: Go past the signs, then get onto the ground to the left of the road and move past a junked car.
of 8: Keep running as you approach the nearest bombed-out house. What you want to do is run into the house and take cover in its NE corner, where there's a small bit of wall left. If you took any damage on the way, heal up or quickrestore and try again.
of 8: Wait until the bombardment stops, which means the Boomers are reloading. Immediately run through the hole in the wall that's to the left of your corner, then head NE to another bombed-out house.
of 8: This one is in a bit better shape than the last one, but the safe corner is once again the NE one. Enter the house by jumping over the low point of its west wall, then hide in the safe corner until the shelling stops again.
of 8: When it does, leave the house the way you entered it and run north to the fence. Once you reach it, the Boomers will stop bombing you due to your proximity to their base.
of 8: NOTE: You could probably run straight to the fence from the first bombed-out house without getting damaged, but it's a bit riskier.
of 8: Turn right and run along the fence until you come to the gate, then wait for a guard to run up and talk to you.
