Fallout: New Vegas Hints
How can I use the train tunnel to get there?
of 8: You'll have to have a Lockpick skill of 100. If you don't, you'll need to either wait until you do, or do the timed run through the houses.
of 8: Go to the train tunnel's southern entrance, which is at secondary location t on the Zone 2 Map, and pick open its door.
of 8: Inside, crouch-walk along the train track slowly, watching for lots of ghouls and traps (mainly frag mines) as you go.
of 8: When you reach the other end of the tunnel, enter the side room on the left to find the locked door that leads back outside.
of 8: You're now going to have to make a run past some bombardment, but it won't be nearly as dangerous as on the timed run through the houses. However, it's a good idea to quicksave right after exiting the train tunnel, anyway.
of 8: From the train tunnel's exit door, go straight north until you reach the train track, then turn right (east) and run along next to the track while hugging the large rock clusters on the left.
of 8: Keep running along the left side of the track until you reach a locked gate on a long fence.
of 8: Turn left and run along the fence until you come to another gate, then wait for a guard to run up and talk to you.
