Fallout: New Vegas Hints
Level 18 Perks
* Computer Whiz (Intelligence 7, Science 70): With this perk, you can attempt to re-hack any computer you've been locked out of. That's totally useless since you can quicksave before attempting a hack and quickrestore if you get locked out.
* Concentrated Fire (Energy Weapons 60, Guns 60): This is just another perk that increases your aiming percentages in V.A.T.S. mode, and shouldn't be taken for the same reason the Gunslinger, Commando, and Sniper perks shouldn't.
* Infiltrator (Perception 7, Lockpick 70): This perk allows you to try picking a lock that you broke with a failed attempt to force it. As with the Computer Whiz perk, you should quicksave before every attempt, and quickrestore if it fails. (Why in the world did they bother to include these two perks again? Seriously!)
* Paralyzing Palm (Unarmed 70): This perk gives you a 30% chance of paralyzing any non-robotic enemy for 30 seconds, but only if you're in V.A.T.S. mode and using unarmed attacks. If it weren't for the huge Unarmed skill requirement, I'd recommend this perk for all character builds, since having an enemy lying helpless on the ground for a full 30 seconds is *hugely* helpful. As it is, only unarmed specialists (especially unarmed stealth specialists) can use this perk.
Unless you need the Paralyzing Palm perk for your character, you should look back through previous perks for something to get now. (Don't forget the great level 16 perk Action Boy / Action Girl.)
